Commonly known as Bigfin Reef Squids, the Sepioteuthis Lessoniana uses its muscular system ideally for jet propulsion. Their muscular system also allows for an incredible reaction to a stimulus and great response time. This squid can propel itself up to 15 meters per second which is faster than any human can swim. The Bigfin can also with great muscle response and reaction attack prey or flee from predators with great finesse. This type of squid is most common in terms of shape and physical ability, while some other forms of the squid family such as the cuddlefish are not quite as recognizable.
